Processed Water Infant Pilot Study Report

An independent consultant on two separate occasions collected samples of impacted water from the "New River" which flows out of Mexicali into the Salton Sea. Barbara Boxer, U.S. Senator of California recently called the New River the most contaminated river in the United States. The samples collected by the independent consultant were treated and then submitted to a Cal-EPA certified laboratory for analyses.

Water Treatment

The literal bombardment of electrons and free radicals combined with the hard ultraviolet discharge and the induced shock wave causes death to small bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms living in the water. This "death-pulse" is a significant advancement in the treatment of ballast water of large ocean liners, and in the treatment and prevention of "bio-fouling" in reverse osmosis (RO) water processing plants, HVAC cooling towers, water delivery lines, etc. In addition, when inoculating the feed water stream with a polymer immediately before reaching the are-discharge chamber, suspended solids and some forms of inorganic dissolved solids can then be removed within minutes compared to multi-hour or even several days of retention time necessary for the current conventional separation methods.

The New River samples were collected near the "Fig Lagoon", west of El Centro. The water was treated using a 4-liter HEPP submerged-arc chamber. The samples were "shot" then water drained from the chamber and the treated samples collected in 4 ounce glass jars and submitted to Environmental Engineering Laboratory (Certificate # 1738) for analyses. All samples collected were analyzed for Total Coliform Count and Fecal Coliform Count. A summary of the Certified Laboratory Chemical analyses results is presented in Table 1 below.

Following the New River water tests a raw sewage sample was collected from the Otay Treatment Plant and treated using a HEPP parabolic reflector reactor. The treated sample was again placed in 4 ounce glass jars and submitted for testing of total plate count. The test found over a 10^5 reduction in total plate count from a single shot.
